Estimados Colaboradores.

Nos sentimos encantados de informarles a Uds., que la Sandor Ferenczi Society ha sido seleccionada como receptor durante el año 2008, delMary S. Sigourney Award por su significante contribución al campo del psicoanálisis.

El reconocimiento Mary S. Sigourney Award Trust es concedido anualmente en reconocimiento a distinguidas contribuciones en el campo del psicoanálisis. El reconocimiento puede ser otorgado a personas individuales por su original quehacer psicoanalítico, logros académicos, contribuciones al campo de la educación y por sus influencias significativas en l. campo del pensamiento y practica psicoanalítica. Entre las instituciones receptoras se cuentan por ejemplo, La Clínica Menninger, El Freud Museum en Londresy laLibrary of Congress(www.sigourney.org).

La Asignación será entregada en enero del 2009 en New York. El premio asciende a US$ 38.000 (el Fideicomiso retiene un 30% para impuestos, pero la Ferenczi Society está intentando minimizar este monto). El premio será utilizado para el Proyecto de la CASA DE FERENCZI.

La Sociedad Ferenczi esta intentando lograr el estatus de Museo con el Ministro de Culture en Hungría.

Estas importantes nuevas nos han llevadoa iniciar una nueva fase en el Proyecto de la CASA DE FERENCZI. Nosotros esperamos poder establecer la International Federation Ferenczi House en el 2009 (agrupando las Sociedades e Instituciones locales de Ferenczi) yarmonizar las actividades de la Fundación Internacional y la Federación Internacional conforme a objetivos comunes.

También quisiéramos informarles sobre las siguientes Conferencias a realizarse, a las cuales desde ya invitamos a participar:

October 21-24,2010, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The FERENCZI HOUSE project

Dear donors.

We are delighted to inform you that the Sandor Ferenczi Society has been selected as a recipient of the 2008 Mary S. Sigourney Award for its significant contributions to the field of psychoanalysis.

The Mary S. Sigourney Award Trust grants awards annually in recognition of distinguished contributions to the field of psychoanalysis. Awards may be given to individuals for original psychoanalytic work, scholarly achievement, contributions to the field of education and for significant influence in the field of psychoanalytic thought and practice. Among the institutional recipients we can mention for example The Menninger Clinic, The Freud Museum, London, and the Library of Congress (www.sigourney.org).

The Award will be given in January 2009 in New York. The prize amounts to US$ 38.000 (the Trust will withdraw 30% for taxes, but the Ferenczi Society is trying to minimize this amount). The prize will be used for the FERENCZI HOUSE project.

The Ferenczi Society is going to apply for the status of a Museum to the Ministry of Culture in Hungary.

This important news has led us to initiate a new phase of the FERENCZI HOUSE project. We hope to be able to establish the International Federation Ferenczi House in 2009 (grouping local Ferenczi societies and institutions) and to harmonize the activities of the International Foundation and of the International Federation, in line with common objectives.
